Microsoft Teams is, without a doubt, the most widely used communication and conferencing software in the world at the present.
Because its big brother (Skype) isn’t as popular as it previously was, Microsoft chose to devote all of its time and resources on improving Teams.
It even went above and above by including it with the new Windows 11 operating system, and it’s regularly updating it with new features and security enhancements.
But, no matter how many adjustments we make, flaws or faults will inevitably find their way into the application’s code and drive us insane, to the point of deleting it.
A problem in Mac Teams prohibits users from leaving the program.
As some recent incidents have shown, teams are far from ideal. Yes, we’re referring to the event in which people on Android handsets were unable to contact emergency services due to Teams.
The bright side was that several people who discovered this deadly problem were eager to report it, and the businesses responsible, Google and Microsoft, were able to quickly repair it.
Overall, though, this is a very perilous position. Reports now suggest that Teams on macOS is encountering some troubles.
As you can see from the Reddit thread, this user claims that no matter how hard he tries, he is unable to shut the program through traditional methods.
He must use Alt + Ctrl + Del to force the program to stop, which is the Windows equivalent of opening the Process Manager and violently terminating the task.
Although not as bad as the one on Android, this is nonetheless behavior that was clearly not written into the software’s DNA.
However, after some more tinkering, the author of the article offered an update to his experience.
Okay, I’ve worked out what’s up. It doesn’t function if I shut (red x) the UI window first and then attempt to exit (waiting at least a minute). It works perfectly if I don’t touch the UI window and instead go directly to exit.
This is absolutely something Microsoft should check at, and who knows, maybe they’ll find some more issues with the macOS version of Teams.
Until then, if your major messaging app is acting strangely, know that you are not alone; others are having the same problems.
And, while we’re on the subject of Teams, keep in mind that the introduction of the functionality that allows you to conceal your personal video stream while on a call began earlier this month.
